Our Club
Master Farkas founded The Rugby Ju-Jutsu club in 1952 in Rugby.
Chief Instructor Sensei Mark Lawrence.
3rd Dan Ju-Jutsu 2nd Dan Karate- Jutsu.
The Rugby Ju-Jutsu Club has been training for many years, formerly the name was AHK.
It was decided by the senior club members that it would be far more beneficial to us as a small friendly dojo to break away from the constraints that were being imposed by being a satellite dojo for AHK so in January 2006 Rugby Ju-Jutsu Club came into being in its own right.
Fundamentally nothing changed in the way the club was run or in the syllabus that we teach. However what we did do was return to a more relevant format more akin to the way that our mentor John Farkas used to teach our senior instructor.
Sensei Mark Lawrence who trained for many years under John and is very keen to make sure the club follows those teachings as closely as possible, his emphasise was on good solidly grounded workable self defence techniques.
